Air Pup was conceptualized in 2020 when Winston, my Australian Shepherd, stepped on a piece of glass walking the streets of NYC. One $2,000 surgery later, the piece of glass and a small stone were extracted from his paw. I quickly realized that the city streets was no place for a dogs' bare paws. With the burning hot pavement, ice salt, germs, chemicals, and broken glass, it was only a matter of time before Winston stepped on another land mine. And so, a year and a half of testing ill fitting or unattractive dog shoes later, the Air Pup 1 was put into production.
